Description

The research aims to understand the metamorphosis of the "invidia", ambiguum nomen, as Cicero said, whose meanings emerge from the crossroad of the mimetic desire, according to the kind of society. Especially, saint Augustin analyse the idea that, in an archaic society with no law nor legal accusation, the "invidia", stake of genuine persecutions, gave to the pagan cult its mythical and ritual foundations.
