PhD thesis: Governing Syrian homelessness in Belgium (1970-2010). Entrepreneurship, study, exile
Coordination centre(s) Centre de recherche en science politique (CReSPo) . Description In Syria, the ongoing civil war has caused the exile of more than 6 million refugees. This number has showed a growing interest in studying the latest flows of refugees, their migration trajectories and the policies of the hosting countries dealing with their reception. To contribute to the study of this phenomenon, this research takes a longer historical perspective, such as studying Syrian mobility to Belgium from the 1970s to 2011. In doing so, it questions the different trajectories, the government of mobility, the integration of the multiple Syrian migrations flows in Belgium. The aim is to understand how the more recent flows have been fitted in such a configuration. Director(s) DUEZ Denis. KeywordsMobility / Exile / itinerance / Refugees / Syria / Belgium.
