CReSPo - Axe 3 - Political community, identities, boundaries

Description

The triptych of community/identity/borders has played an essential role in the constitution of the modern political order. However, it seems to be put to the test under the combined pressure of globalization and European integration. In this context, how can we think about the relations between political community, identities and borders and, more broadly, the recompositions of the contemporary political order and its legitimacy, particularly in relation to "migration" or "security" issues? These are the questions at the heart of this third axis, at the crossroads of political sociology and political theory, and which brings together researchers from both CReSPo and IEE.
