CReSPo - Axe 2 - Social policies and social rights

Description

This axis includes a descriptive component, aimed at analyzing (in comparative perspective) the social policies of industrialized countries, especially European ones, and the way supra-national institutions (especially the European Union) influence them. It also includes a more normative component, aimed at 1) critically analyzing proposals for welfare reform, in particular the proposal to introduce an unconditional basic income, and 2) critically analyzing alternatives to the dominant economic model, in particular the cooperative economy and its philosophical justifications.
