About the Centre

The research group on penal and criminal matters was created in 2010 and leads a reflection with all the actors who, at the University Saint-Louis - Brussels, work on penal and criminal matters. It brings together many specialists (academics and practicing criminal lawyers) around specific themes, conducts research with its own and external (Belgian and European) funds and organizes several colloquia per year, generally accompanied by collective publications. GREPEC is a member of IRIB (Institut de recherches interdisciplinaires sur Bruxelles), of RIS (Réseau Interdisciplinarité et Société) and has close links with SIEJ (Séminaire Interdisciplinaire d'Études Juridiques) as well as with CESIR (Centre de recherches et d'interventions sociologiques) of the USL-B. GREPEC is also a member of GERN (Groupement Européen de Recherches sur les Normativités) and of the UBLDP (Union Belgo-Luxembourgeoise de droit pénal).





GREPEC was recognized as a research center on December 15, 2016.
