About the Centre

The Prospéro Center - Language, Image and Knowledge pursues interdisciplinary researches on imagination and its conceptual, artistic, historical, cultural and social productions. Concerned at the same time with the reflexivity and the performance of imagination, the Prospéro Center invests the fields of humanities from speculative philosophy to the analysis of social and cultural productions, through philosophical anthropology, psychoanalysis, aesthetics, literary studies, theater studies and film studies. The works of the Prospéro Center aim at understanding man?s practical self-constitution through scrutinizing the encroachments of body and speech, emotions and writing, language and image, desire and politics.
